SunJu is an accomplished interior designer with an unrivalled natural artistic talent. She possesses the skill to play around with variety of art techniques that suit her clients.
With her strong passion of interior design, SunJu founded Sun Valenta Design in her hometown, Madison, New Jersey in 2014. She holds National Certificate of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Associate (LEED) qualifications she uses to her advantage in delivery of service.
She has a wealth of experience in incorporating aspects of culture in her themes, having worked in South Korea and in the US for over two decades. With her authentic Asian cultural and artistic background with a western imagination, she creates a unique and stylish but timeless design which shape the client’s living and working experiences, giving the client a one of a kind spaces.
She has worked with a major global interior design firms in both US and Korea and it is from that experience that she was able to build her own design approach for commercial, residential and hospitality projects.
SunJu holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Pratt Institute, New York, and has participated as a design critics for grad students. Her work has received recognition, even receiving accolades such as the New York Decorators Club Award and the New York Designer’s Saturday Award.
